Office Administrator

Tech-Wood is growing, and we need YOU!

Tech-Wood has been providing Engineered Wood Products and Roof Trusses to Calgary and area home builders since 1998. We take pride in delivering quality products and offering our customers exceptional service to exceed their expectations. Our team of 80 people is very interactive with each other, and we enjoy helping one another out to ensure we meet our corporate goals while having fun at work.

Our team works hard every day and is rewarded through various company events throughout the year, whether it be at monthly celebrations, Tech-Wood Day, or our annual Christmas party that the Social Committee hosts. Tech-Wood is not shy in showing appreciation to its team.

What You Bring:

  • 2+ years experience in an administrative position

  • 1+ years experience in accounts payable

  • 1+ years experience in accounts receivable and collections

  • Accounting knowledge (bookkeeping, general ledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations)

  • Sage50 Experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

  • Exceptional time management skills

  • Easily adaptable to change in the workplace

  • Proactive mindset

  • Comfortable interacting with senior management

  • Enjoy working in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Credit Checks (1%)

  • Manage expense reports (4%)

  • Reception (5%) – greeting visitors, answering phones

  • Administrative duties (5%) (filing, supply room organization, supply runs/ordering)

  • General ledger reconciliations (5%)

  • Bank reconciliation (5%)

  • Office liaison (5%)

  • Accounts payable (20%)

  • Accounts Receivable (20%)

  • Invoicing (30%)
